The Ojas Doctrine
In Akhada tradition, wrestlers observe brahmacharya (celibacy) and redirect sexual energy — called Ojas — into physical and spiritual strength. Hanuman, the eternal celibate and supreme athlete, is the ideal. Every Akhada has a Hanuman shrine. Training begins with prostration before Hanuman.
